There was no mention of what has transpired since the dock was built without proper permits. What is the current situation?

Deborah Woodward, not to worry it is being handled by management and the vendor, as stated in the President Up-date.

If a licensed contractor was used, he should also be liable for not getting a permit.

They were responsible and instructed to get it prior to the work being done... I know first hand as I am on the Building and Grounds committee. Vendor is Licensed and Insured and is working on this! It will be resolved... Moving Forward!

  • Structural changes: When you make any kind of structural changes to your property, the contractor will need to obtain a permit. This may include changes to the load-bearing walls, balconies, decks, porches, roofs or foundational structures. Check with your County Permitting Dept.

As per our bylaws the replacement also must be of the same materials and EXACT dimensions otherwise shareholder approval is mandatory.
