I was informed today that we may have needed a Building Permit to replace the Pier. We were not informed by our vendor. I have instructed our Maintenance Supervisor to act on this ASAP. I take full responsibility for this and will have it corrected.

There was no mention of what has transpired since the dock was built without proper permits. What is the current situation?
If a licensed contractor was used, he should also be liable for not getting a permit.
Structural changes: When you make any kind of structural changes to your property, the contractor will need to obtain a permit. This may include changes to the load-bearing walls, balconies, decks, porches, roofs or foundational structures. Check with your County Permitting Dept.
