Update on Whitehouse

Recently staff identified that the outside wall and floor, adjacent to the fireplace in the Utilities Office, had separated indicative of structural support issue. Two weeks ago we hired Belt Engineering to have a structural review conducted of the Whitehouse. Last week we received the report and today met with the Engineer. The good news is the structural supports for the Whitehouse are good! The support for the chimney (facing the North parking lot) has settle and requires additional support which will level the area described above. Portions of the exterior decking will require replacing perimeter boards which have been damaged from old termite infestation. The Engineer stated for being a structure that is 169 years old he found building to be in good condition. The Board is in the process of obtaining bids to repair the areas mentioned above. I will update the residents as this project moves forward.
